Pooja (Pooja Bhatt) is an outcast at her university. Besides mocking her stutter, her classmates ostracize her because her father (Paresh Rawal) is a well-known criminal. But Pooja's fortunes change when an avuncular professor (Naseeruddin Shah) teaches her self-empowerment. Director Mahesh Bhatt's drama shows the results, as she lands the man of her dreams. But Pooja's bliss is disrupted when her father becomes embroiled in a gang war.
