The enchanting Romy Schneider stars as Princess Sissi in this second installment of the romantic trilogy about life in the 19th-century Austrian court, in which Sissi comes into her own but must finally confront her meddlesome mother-in-law (Vilma Degischer). Torn between her royal duty to country and her maternal instincts toward her newborn child, Sissi is forced to choose between the good of her country and the good of her family.
