This action-adventure film mines the history books for material as it recounts the tale of a daring outbreak from the normally impenetrable -- and inescapable -- island of Alcatraz in the spring of 1946. David Carradine stars as the leader of a gang of inmates planning to break out of The Rock, even if it means they may lose their lives. They have just one shot at freedom … and failure is not an option. Dennis Farina and David Morse co-star.
