In the year 2142, Earth's civilization has been doomed by years of environmental destruction. Only a tiny elite group thrives inside the protected city of Delos in the South Pacific, while refugees (called Diggers) outside the city make their way the best they can. The loyalty of a female trooper -- a guardian of Delos -- is tested when she learns her childhood love is leading a Digger rebellion to end the reign of pollution.
