The hit TV series -- a youthful "prequel" of sorts to the Superman mythology -- breaks new ground during the thrilling fourth season, with Clark Kent (Tom Welling) heroically attempting to keep Kryptonian crystals from destroying Earth. Meanwhile, as Clark enters his senior year of high school, his friendships with Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) and Lana (Kristin Kreuk) become strained. The season also sees the introduction of Lois Lane (Erica Durance).
