This made-for-TV drama, set in the picturesque mountains of Australia, illustrates the family lives of those working on the famed Snowy River dam during the 1950s. It's the story of Australians whose lives would never be the same again ... and of immigrants from war-torn Europe who served their two-year contracts as virtual slave labor away from their wives and families.
