Fredric March, Margaret Sullavan and Glenn Ford co-star as a trio of World War II-era German refugees on the run from the Nazis in this 1941 drama based on the novel Flotsam by Erich Maria Remarque. Released before the United States entered the war, the film performed poorly at the box office but racked up an Oscar nomination for its original score, which was composed by Louis Gruenberg.
