A former soccer player adopts an orphaned boy, looking forward to teaching him the game. But when the kid doesn't take to soccer, Dad soon finds someone else who does: a stray dog who shows up out of nowhere. Soon, the talented mutt is helping the local team win, and other families decide to test their pets' sporting abilities. Olivia d'Abo, James Marshall, Jeremy Foley and Billy Drago star in this fun family flick.
