Convinced he's met his soul mate, an enamored young man pursues her across continents in Carlos Bolado's love story. During a trip to Tijuana, Brazilian art student Dolores (Alice Braga) accepts a ride with Mexican journalist Damian (Diego Luna). The two share a deep connection, but Dolores leaves after she discovers Damian's unsettling secret. Undeterred, the love-struck reporter follows her to Brazil, where sacred tradition mixes with destiny.
