When English teacher Ulises (Jordi Molla) arrives in a new town and takes residence at a couple's boarding house, their daughter, Marina (Leonor Watling), is in awe of the handsome educator. The two wed and have a child (Ricky Colomer), but then Ulises disappears during a stormy boat trip. Assuming he's dead, Marina gives in to the advances of wealthy Sierra (Eduard Fernandez). But five years later, she makes a life-changing discovery.
