While driving from Chicago to Los Angeles, Byron (Terrence Howard) and his girlfriend, Nina (Nicole Ari Parker), experience car trouble and are forced to stop in a small town in the middle of nowhere. A repairman (Brendan Sexton III) fixes their vehicle, but the young couple finds themselves in deep trouble when hot-tempered Byron mixes with the locals. Director Garret Williams explores racial politics and class issues in this provocative drama.
