Spring and Chaos

In this surreal homage to posthumously acclaimed Japanese poet Kenji Miyzawa, anime director Shoji Kawamori uses anthropomorphic felines to tell Miyzawa's life story and of his struggle to remain true to himself, his unique vision and his art. Taking a cue from the poet's use of animals in his writings, this stylized film views the world through Miyzawa's creative eyes, focusing on his intense and short-lived adulthood.
