Gopanna (Nagarjuna Akkineni) is a tax collector in 17th-century India who becomes devoted to Lord Rama and dedicates his life to building a beautiful temple in this inspiring biopic about one of the god's most important disciples. As Gopanna, who became known as Ramadasu, persuades the entire village to join the construction effort, a jealous rival conspires to have the devotee jailed. Will he be released to finish his important mission?
