Set in 1930s London, St. Martin's Lane stars Charles Laughton as a busker who takes a feisty girl (Vivien Leigh) under his wing and endeavors to transform her into a musical entertainer. In Wings of the Morning, a beautiful young Romany girl must marry a nobleman to fulfill the prophecy of her ancestors. But she becomes enamored with a Canadian horse trainer (Henry Fonda) and joins forces with him to enter the Derby with a horse named Wings.
