After landing a great job at a top Silicon Valley company, computer engineer Laura Black (Brooke Shields) runs into trouble with her soft-spoken co-worker Richard Farley (Richard Thomas), whose romantic interest in her turns into full-blown obsession. Alarmed by the deranged man's ardor, Laura complains to her superiors and has Farley fired -- which makes the creep even more determined to get what he wants.
