Season 3 of the sci-fi adventure series follows SG-1 as it continues its fight against the Goa'uld System Lords, while being introduced to a new adversary -- the Replicators, longtime enemies of the Asgards and threat to the survival of Earth. Meanwhile, Jack (Richard Dean Anderson) finds himself forced into retirement. The episode "Nemesis" was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Visual Effects.
