Season 5 of the syndicated sci-fi hit starring Richard Dean Anderson and Amanda Tapping finds System Lord Anubis (David Palffy) becoming SG-1's main adversary as Daniel (Michael Shanks) aspires to Ascend to a higher plane of existence. Meanwhile, Teal'c pledges misguided allegiance to Apophis (Peter Williams) and Jack becomes an adviser to a goofy TV show called "Wormhole X-Treme!" that resembles SGC just a little too closely.
