State and Main

  (2000)
When frenzied filmmakers descend on the town of Waterford, Vt., they shoot first and ask questions later in writer-director David Mamet's scathing satire of moviemaking, acting and the business of being famous. There's the egomaniacal star (Alec Baldwin) who can't keep his pants zipped, the starlet (Sarah Jessica Parker) who won't take off her top and the impotent writer (Philip Seymour Hoffman) who's summarily ignored by everyone.
