After a successful stint on the rodeo circuit, Joe Lightcloud (Elvis Presley) returns home to his father (Burgess Meredith) and his tribe. He sets to work seeking government assistance for his people -- in between wild parties and romancing the comely Mamie (Quentin Dean). Joan Blondell, L.Q. Jones and Katy Jurado co-star. Elvis's songs include the title tune, "Lovely Mamie," "All I Needed Was the Rain" and "Dominic."
