Stella

A fiery barroom singer with an insatiable appetite for men, Stella (Melina Mercouri, in her film debut) defies convention by refusing to marry. Determined to keep her independence, she discards her timid lover (Alekos Alexandrakis) and begins a torrid affair with a brash football hero (George Foundas) who satisfies her hunger for unbridled passion. But Stella risks losing the freedom she craves when her new lover proposes marriage.
