In this pandemic political drama, trouble begins when a British fur trader bilks Mongolian trapper Bair (Valeri Inkishanov) out of a rare fox skin. Bair assaults the trader and, knowing the consequences, takes it on the lam. British occupation forces ultimately apprehend Bair and shoot him, but when they discover he's Genghis Khan's descendant, they revive the scion and install him as a puppet ruler … until he turns insurrectionist.
