While visiting her sister, Lucy Rice (Doris Day), dress model Marsha Mitchell (Ginger Rogers) witnesses an investigative reporter beaten to death at the hands of the Ku Klux Klan. When she detects her brother-in-law is one of the murderers, her life is endangered. Now, she must aid DA Burt Rainey (Ronald Reagan) to put an end to the Klansmen's malevolent white supremacy. Stuart Heisler (The Star) directs this drama.
