Traveling judge Richard Thorne (Joel McCrea) arrives in a small Western town determined to clean it up -- in spite of the power wielded by land baron Josiah Bannerman (John McIntire). But when Bannerman's son (Kevin McCarthy) is suspected of murder, Thorne's resolve is put to the test. Adapted from a novel by Louis L'Amour, this classic Western co-stars Czech-Mexican actress Miroslava as Bannerman's niece and Thorne's love interest.
