At 46, plucky ex-con Jerri Blank (Amy Sedaris) brushes the prison dust off her synthetic slacks to brave the halls of Flatpoint High, doing her best to survive "adolescence" with support from an unambiguously gay art teacher (Paul Dinello) and his closeted colleague (Stephen Colbert). This Sundance selection is a prequel to the short-lived Comedy Central series (created by Sedaris, Dinello and Colbert) that spawned a cult of devoted fans.
