A Mexican immigrant (John Leguizamo) trying to make ends meet in Los Angeles enters a singing contest and achieves the American Dream -- and then some. Before long, he finds himself stuck in a romantic triangle with Mirabella (Elizabeth Peña), his forty-something neighbor, and Nina (Ana Claudia Talancón), a twenty-something veterinary student. This light romantic comedy marks the directorial debut of Renee Chabria, who also penned the screenplay.
