Sugar Valentine (Jean Claude LaMarre) was born in Philadelphia to a drug-addict mother who turned tricks on the side. Sugar's father, Joshua (Clifton Powell), was her pimp. When he was 14 years old, Sugar's mother died, leaving his father as the prime "caregiver" to Sugar and his brother, Lance (Shane Dean). And in Sugar's tough world, that meant tutelage in the rough game of street pimpin'.
