During a Berlin heat wave, neighbors Nike (Nadja Uhl) and Katrin (Inka Friedrich) spend their evenings getting sauced on Nike's balcony and dissecting the lives of those who pass below them in this slice-of-life drama. But when Nike takes up with an oddball trucker (Andreas Schmidt), the relationship creates a schism between the two friends -- sending jobless Katrin crawling into a bottle for comfort. Vincent Redetzki plays her adolescent son.
