British hausfrau Molly Pargeter (Susan Fleetwood) and her family spend an idyllic summer vacation at a villa in Tuscany. Idyllic, that is, until Molly must solve a couple of local mysteries involving a paucity of fresh water and a missing landlord. Along the way, she meets an old flame and stokes those embers. Co-star John Gielgud won an Emmy as Molly's libidinous father. This miniseries aired in America as part of PBS's "Masterpiece Theatre."
