Director Henry Hathaway's Oscar-nominated, World War II action film begins with a personality conflict between two Royal Army officers -- Maj. Coombes (George Sanders) and Capt. Crawford (Bruce Cabot) -- who disagree about how to fight the Nazis in North Africa.
