Performing the famous fan dance that shocked crowds at the 1933 Chicago World's Fair, Sally Rand stars as an exotic dancer who takes a job as a stripper to catch the man responsible for her father's murder. But when her gambit fails, an admirer (Reed Hadley) steps in to help in this classic crime drama. Pressure from censors forced director Louis J. Gasnier to retitle his film from The Sunset Strip Case to the less provocative Sunset Murder Case.
