Near the end of World War II, a super-secret Japanese sub named Ra has a fatal encounter with its American twin, and both subs are lost. Now, some 50 years later, the descendants of the submarine officers are part a special task force sent to investigate some unusual phenomena in Antarctica. Stumbling on a mysterious black cylinder with a deadly force, the group faces certain destruction ... until the sudden reappearance of Ra.
