Based on true events, this war drama tells the story of Lt. Donald Blackburn (Keith Andes), an American GI caught in the Philippines during World War II. Determined to avoid capture by the occupying Japanese, Blackburn retreats deep in the jungle. There, he faces potential starvation, deadly diseases and the incessant threat of discovery by the enemy. Eventually, Blackburn engages natives to launch attacks on the Japanese.
