Natalia Makarova and Anthony Dowell star in the Royal Ballet's production of "Swan Lake." When Prince Siegfried nearly shoots a swan whom he later discovers is an enchanted princess, he pledges his love to her, hoping to reverse the curse. Now a beloved classic, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's ballet was originally regarded as a failure when it debuted in 1877.
