When Yamraj (Kader Khan) and his assistant, Chitragupt (G. Asrani), misplace the important astrological volume Bhavishya Vani, the delicate balance between life and death is disrupted, prompting thunder god Shri Indra to send the pair to Earth to recover it. But when the man (Venkatesh) in possession of the book refuses to give it up, the results are catastrophic -- and Yamraj and Chitragupt risk losing their place in Shri Indra's kingdom.
