Tea for Two
(1950)|
In this musical based loosely on the play "No, No, Nanette," Doris Day plays a stage-struck heiress who's conned into financing a Broadway show by a producer who promises her a lead in said production. Billy De Wolfe is irresistibly smarmy as the producer and self-proclaimed lothario, and Day and co-star Gordon MacRae delight in songs like "I Want to Be Happy," "I Know That You Know," "Do, Do, Do" and "I Only Have Eyes for You."
