In Kevin Williamson's directorial debut, honor student Leigh Ann Watson (Katie Holmes) and her friends Luke (Barry Watson) and Jo Lynn (Marisa Coughlan) get tangled in the nasty Mrs. Tingle's (Helen Mirren) web. Things start innocently as Leigh Ann tries to keep her grades up, but a misunderstanding leads to blackmail and possibly worse for Mrs. Tingle. Coach "Spanky" Wenchell (Jeffrey Tambor) adds a lighter element to this dark teenage comedy.
