Banished from their homes after they announce they're expecting a baby, teen sweethearts Danny (Tim Wead) and Alice (Mary Cannon) pull up stakes to start a new life together in the tenements of New York City. The massive city proves unwelcoming and impossible to navigate at first, but the brave young couple soon finds help from a friendly and generous stranger.
