Mistaken for presumed-dead rancher Jim Rawlings after arriving in Stampede, Ariz., easygoing drifter "Texas" Grant (Tim McCoy) maintains the pretense to fend off cattle rustlers victimizing Jim's wife, Helena (Shirley Grey). Turns out the thieves are part of a plot by saloon owner Utah Becker (Wheeler Oakman) to snatch Helena's property. Grant dispatches Becker's minions but soon finds himself in a showdown against the unscrupulous Becker.
