After graduating from law school, Surya (Vijay) finds himself at loose ends until his sister (Revathi) helps him clarify his goals. He becomes an apprentice to a seasoned lawyer (Delhi Ganesh) who helps Surya as he continues to determine the area of law he will practice. Once he realizes that he wants to help average people with the injustices they face, Surya becomes a crusader, aiding those who've been cheated, exploited or conned.
