The Apple

This campy cult classic charts the fortunes of fresh-faced Canadian musical duo Alphie (George Gilmour) and Bibi (Catherine Mary Stewart), who enter the Worldvision Song Contest and lose thanks to a scheming record industry titan named Mr. Boogalow (Vladek Sheybal). Though he rigged the competition, Boogalow offers the pair a contract that only Bibi accepts -- and she soon becomes a pop star. Meanwhile, Alphie hooks up with a gang of hippies.
