The Doors

Director Oliver Stone's drama is as much about 1960s culture as it is about legendary outlaw rock star Jim Morrison (played to perfection by Val Kilmer, who also does his own singing), one of the most influential figures in rock 'n' roll history. The plot chronicles Morrison's rise from obscurity to the pinnacle of fame as the lead singer for the Doors, culminating in his tragic final days in Paris. Meg Ryan co-stars.
