The Escape Artist

A minor league Houdini-esque escape artist, teenager Danny Masters (Griffin O'Neal) boasts to local cops that he can free himself from prison within one hour. Childhood flashbacks reveal Danny's family history -- he had an aunt and uncle who were escape artists in vaudeville -- and that the boy might just have the stuff to pull off the stunt. Desi Arnaz and Raul Julia co-star as a corrupt mayor and his troubled son. Caleb Deschanel directs.
