The Howards of Virginia

As the American Revolution looms, Matt Howard (Cary Grant) builds Albemarle, a sprawling plantation in Virginia for his wife, Martha (Jane Peyton-Howard) -- but it is destroyed by their differences and what is happening in the country. Highlights include the Boston Tea Party events and firebrand Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty" speech. The film is based on the book The Tree of Liberty, written by Elizabeth Page.
