In this delightful romance directed by James Cellan Jones, bachelor and successful author Cecil (Rex Harrison) learns that Evelyn (Wendy Hiller) -- with whom he shared an amorous interlude 50 years earlier -- has recently become a widow. With help from his devoted butler, Cecil (who always lamented losing Evelyn) initiates a passionate courtship to win her love again. Co-stars Cyril Cusack and Gary Owen provide first-rate support.
