After trading an "invisible" watch for another boy's magnet, Johnny (James Fox) runs away from home convinced he's wanted by the police. With his imagination running wild, Johnny goes through a series of misadventures as he tries to get rid of the magnet. Propelled by half-truths and serious misunderstandings, this English comedy also stars Stephen Murray, Kay Walsh, Meredith Edwards and Gladys Henson.
