The Mirror Has Two Faces
(1996)|
Middle-aged professor Rose Morgan (Barbra Streisand) is tired of being single and living with her mother (Lauren Bacall). Thus, when a colleague (Jeff Bridges), proposes, Morgan accepts. But Morgan's colleague is in love with her mind, and the marriage he proposed is a platonic one. Not surprisingly, more discontentment follows. Streisand directed this romantic comedy, which earned a Golden Globe for Bacall and an Oscar nomination for Best Song.
