Spooky spoofery is the name of the game in this mystery-comedy that pairs Don Knotts and Tim Conway (who also co-wrote the screenplay) as inept investigators Winship and Dr. Tart, who investigate a wealthy couple's murder in their gothic mansion. Between the beautiful but grieving heiress (Trisha Noble), the nutty staff and some ghastly ghosts, the pair finds themselves caught up in one conundrum after another.
