Returning to England with a carnivorous tree whose sap can resurrect the dead, Dr. James Moran (George Coulouris) begins secret experiments to see if the tree can also grant immortality to the living. But to keep it alive, Moran must feed the tree beautiful women. Soon, the police are on the case of several missing local lovelies, but can they nab Moran before he sacrifices his comely young housekeeper (Vera Day) to the beastly plant?
