Former Mayor Robert Wagner rallied to hold the event with his construction of a 250-ton "Unisphere" -- a feat that illustrated the optimism of the 1950s. But the fair's two-year run often mirrored the chaos of the 1960s. This documentary uncovers the back stories of various exhibits and provides first-person accounts from fairgoers.
