After philosophy grad student Kathleen (Lili Taylor) is attacked in an alley, she finds herself helplessly addicted to blood, lasting only from fix to fix like a heroin addict. She attempts to make sense of her bloodlust with the help of her mentor, Peina (Christopher Walken). But can Kathleen regain control of her life? This moody black-and-white film follows her physical and moral transformation.
